Terms of service
Terms of service
These terms cover the use of the OmniDICOM software and this website. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
Last updated 17 September 2026 · Section 2 now explains upgrading from Basic to Professional
1. What OmniDICOM is, and is not
OmniDICOM is intended for the viewing, review and secondary review of medical images for research and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device, has not been cleared or certified by any regulatory authority, and is not intended for diagnosis, primary interpretation, or clinical decision-making. You are responsible for deciding whether the software is appropriate for your purpose and for complying with the regulations that apply to you.
2. Your licence
- A licence is per machine, and may be active on one computer at a time. You may move it between computers you own — from within the application, or by writing to us.
- The licence is personal to you or your organisation and may not be resold, sublicensed or shared.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to defeat the licensing mechanism, except where that restriction is void under the law that applies to you.
- We may end a licence, with a refund of the unused period, if it is being used in breach of these terms.
- Upgrading from Basic to Professional. An upgrade is a checkout that OmniDICOM opens for your Basic licence and that shows “How the upgrade works” before you pay. The link is personal to that licence, and the upgrade only applies when you pay with the same email address as your Basic purchase; otherwise you receive a separate Professional licence key, and Basic stays active. Upgrading moves your existing licence key to Professional as soon as payment completes. We then cancel your Basic subscription and refund the unused part of your current Basic billing period to your original payment method. Your key and activated computer stay the same. The Professional price is charged in full at checkout, and the unused Basic amount is refunded afterwards, following Paddle's refund processing times; that refund does not end your licence. If we cannot move your licence after that payment, we issue a new Professional licence key instead. If you still have an active Basic subscription, it is not cancelled automatically: cancel it using the link on its Paddle receipt, or write to us from the email address you bought Basic with and we will cancel it and refund its unused part. A Professional payment you did not need can be refunded under the refund policy. A refund of the Professional payment made after Basic has been cancelled ends the licence and does not restore Basic; one made before then undoes the upgrade, and your key goes back to Basic, which carries on as before. Buying Professional through any other checkout starts a separate subscription with its own key and does not change Basic, which keeps renewing until you cancel it. The refund policy explains how the refunded amount is worked out.
3. Trial and expiry
The trial runs the complete Professional feature set for 14 days, and starts by itself the first time you open the application while it is connected to the internet. After it expires the application keeps opening studies in five-minute sessions, and images exported or printed under a trial or expired licence carry a watermark.
4. Your data
Studies are opened, rendered and processed on your own machine. We do not receive them. What the software does send is described in the privacy policy; it is limited to what licensing requires and never includes image data or patient information.
5. Availability
A licensed installation keeps working without a network connection for several days at a time, so a licence-server outage does not stop you working. We do not promise uninterrupted availability of the website or the licence service.
6. Liability
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any clinical decision made by anyone. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Changes
We may change these terms; the version in force is the one published here on the day you buy or renew. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Nothing here removes any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim locally where that law allows it.
9. Who you are contracting with
The software is licensed by 옴니다이콤 (OmniDICOM), a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea, business registration number 104-43-02097. Reach us at contact@omnidicom.com.
Your purchase is made from Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle's buyer terms govern the sale and the payment; these terms govern your use of the software.
